I'm not entirely sure what I'm going to write about in this journal.  I know that it's not going to be primarily about my eating disorder like my last journal,

[info]anahurricane, was... but I can't promise that I'm not going to talk about it.  I don't know what kinds of groups I'm going to join or who I'm going to add... so if you know any good groups or lovely friends let me know please. :)

i had totally forgotten about this song until i heard it on the radio earlier today. it's called "if you want me to", and it's by ginny owens. what's especially interesting is that, despite being blind, she's an amazing piano player and song writer... she accompanies herself at her concerts. :) it's worth a listen to!
also, there's a great cover version of the song on youtube by a girl named jennifer chung, in case you are interested.

Alright friendslist, I have some questions for you. :)

1. Close your eyes and picture yourself in a square room with white walls, ceiling, and floor. There are no windows and doors. How do you feel?
2. What is your favorite color and why?
3. What is your favorite animal and why?
4. What is your favorite type of water form? (For example- a river, an ocean, a waterfall, etc.)

According to Jared, these questions reveal some interesting psychological aspects about yourself, and I'm curious to see what you guys respond! DO IT! <3

So I started reading Twilight again. It makes me very happy. :)

For once in my life, I'm picking up my violin purely for my own enjoyment- not because someone else wants me to play, not because I'm that girl who does music stuff, and not because it's what I've always done. And it feels amazing. :) I haven't enjoyed playing this much in a long time, if ever.

I would really love to take lessons again, but I'm afraid that would make things a bit overwhelming. And I'm scared that would suck the fun out of it again, since practicing would become an obligation.

I also decided to do a little 1 AM photography. :)

Yay classical music!

I think I measure my life in quotes and lyrics. :) Some particular ones that I have been on my mind lately:
"Everything happens for a reason."

"When people walk away from you, let them walk. Don't try to talk another person into staying with you, loving you, calling you, caring for you, coming to see you, or staying attached to you. When people walk away, let them walk. Your destiny isn't tied to anybody that left."

"She got the call today, One out of the gray.
And when the smoke cleared, It took her breath away.

She said she didn't believe, It could happen to me.
I guess we're all one phone call from our knees." (Mat Kearney "Closer to Love")

"It's only when we have lost everything that we are free to do anything."

"Your heart just breaks, that's all. But you can't judge, or point fingers. You just have to be lucky enough to find someone who appreciates you." (Audrey Hepburn)

"Did you say it? 'I love you. I don't ever want to live without you. You changed my life.' Did you say it? Make a plan. Set a goal. Work toward it, but every now and then, look around; Drink it in 'cause this is it. It might all be gone tomorrow." (Grey's Anatomy)

The Rainbow Connection )
My dad and I used to watch the muppets all the time when I was little... I made him a "Rainbow Connection" ringtone the other day, and ever since I've had it stuck in my head. :)

For as much as I love lyrics and quotes, it's funny how I don't particularly care for poetry (with the exception of "Where the Sidewalk Ends"... best poetry book ever).

"You stood before creation
Eternity within Your hand
You spoke the earth into motion
My soul now to stand

You stood before my failure
Carried the Cross for my shame
My sin weighed upon Your shoulders
My soul now to stand

So what can I say
What can I do
But offer this heart O God
Completely to You

So I'll walk upon salvation
Your Spirit alive in me
This life to declare Your promise
My soul now to stand

So what can I say
What can I do
But offer this heart O God
Completely to You

So I’ll stand
With arms high and heart abandoned
In awe of the One who gave it all

So I’ll stand
My soul Lord to You surrendered
All I am is Yours"
("the stand" by hillsong)
pretty sure that this is about one of the most powerful songs they've written... i just wish you guys could hear it! :)
